Well, the VMA’s are tonight, and as you well know, the VMA red carpet is known for it’s risky, over-the-top, and hardly ever classy, fashion. Good old Buzzfeed has done it again-They’ve gone into the VMA image vault to give us 27 Things from the 1999 VMA’s that we Might Have Forgotten. Honestly, we MIGHT have forgotten them on purpose. This set of images reminds us that we were making REALLY BAD fashion choices in 1999. Even JT is pushing taste boundaries in head to toe leather. Let’s just try to do better tonight, shall we?

Laverne Cox is the Bees Knees
We wanted to send a HUGE congratulations out to Laverne Cox, one of our favorite “Orange Is The New Black” cast members, for her Emmy nomination! Laverne is the first, out, transgender actress to receive an Emmy nomination, and she is a proud activist for the Transgender community. Earlier this year, she was the keynote speaker at the National Conference on LGBT Equality: Creating Change.
Above and beyond Laverne being transgender, she is a fantastic actress and one we hope to see in many more roles in the future. Plus, we can’t WAIT to see what she wears on the red carpet! You can read more about Laverne and her exciting news at People.com
Marchesa Resort 2015 – We Want To Eat This Collection
Marchesa’s 2015 Resort collection is a grouping of lacy, floral, and colorful confections that look good enough to eat. But don’t eat them, dream of wearing them. Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig have outdone themselves this season, and we expect that many a starlet, model, and socialite will be singing their praises and looking delicious in Marchesa.

Inspiring! We love what he did with chiffon, and we love the Swarovski Elements accents!

Golden Globes Red Carpet Suggestion: Cate Blanchett
RED CARPET SUGGESTION #4: We think Cate Blanchett would look stunning in this poppy red number from Christian Siriano’s Spring/Summer 2014 collection. A matching red lip and a clean coif would only accentuate the ensemble.
Golden Globes Red Carpet Suggestion: Kerry Washington
Red Carpet Suggestion #2: Kerry Washington is a fashion front runner, often styled by Erin Walsh. We suggest that she would rock Kate Pankoke’s final runway gown with panache! @KatePankoke #designerkate
Golden Globes Red Carpet Suggestion: Greta Gerwig
Red Carpet Suggestion #1- Greta Gerwig (who works with stylist Erin Walsh) is known for her original style, and we think Justin LeBlanc’s final collection dress with 3-D printed belt is perfect for her Golden Globe look. @JLeBlancDesign
Golden Globes Red Carpet Suggestion: Meryl Streep
GOLDEN GLOBES BUZZ!!! Keep your eyes peeled for some red carpet style suggestions for this year’s Golden Globe Nominees! We’re hoping Ms Streep will be giving Chris March a call like she did in 2010! #chrismarch
